Things to do for the summer

Posted by Illya on 3 July 2007

The sun did not shine.
It was too wet to play.
So we sat in the house
All that cold, cold, wet day.

(Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat)

If the weather gets you down and boredom strikes, here are a few things you can do when it’s too wet to play.

IF you want to brush up on your techno-knowledge the following site is an excellent place to start. There are tutorials and videos and a whole bunch of ideas: http://t4.jordan.k12.ut.us/t4/

Look at the following blog and set up your own class blog. Remember to scroll down and start with lesson 1: http://www.bloggingteachers.blogspot.com/

Watch a presentation about Web 2.0 tools, and you can listen too! http://www.portical.org/Presentations/brooks-young/web2.0/index.html

Watch one of the videos below in the right column.

Think about taking a course. The next ones begin in September. http://www.theconsultants-e.com/courses/shortcourses/index.asp

Finally, a bit of fun for those who teach kids, make your own comics 🙂 http://www.makebeliefscomix.com/

Now I wish all visitors a warm summer. More in a couple of weeks! B-)
